ACCESSIBILITY STATEMENT
Last updated: September 2025
ExploreBuddy (“we,” “us,” “our”) is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for everyone, including users with disabilities. This statement describes how we design, develop and maintain our digital platforms to conform to recognised accessibility standards and how you can provide feedback.
1. Compliance Status
We aim to conform with Level AA of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 and EN 301 549 (Accessibility requirements for ICT products and services). While most content meets these standards, some pages or documents may not yet be fully compliant. We are continually working to improve accessibility across all our digital channels.
2. Measures to Support Accessibility
To deliver and maintain accessible experiences, we:
-
Conduct regular accessibility audits using automated tools and manual testing.
-
Involve users with diverse abilities in reviewing new features and content.
-
Provide ongoing staff training in inclusive design and accessibility best practices.
-
Maintain an accessibility roadmap with scheduled reviews and remediation of identified issues.
3. Technical Specifications
Our website and applications are designed to work with:
-
Major, current versions of Chrome, Firefox, Safari and Edge.
-
Screen readers such as NVDA and VoiceOver.
-
Keyboard-only navigation and other assistive technologies (e.g., speech recognition, screen magnifiers).
-
Responsive layouts for desktop, tablet and mobile devices.
4. Known Limitations
Despite our efforts, you may encounter accessibility barriers. Examples include:
-
Third-party embeds (e.g., video players) that lack captions or identifiable controls.
-
Older PDF documents published before September 2024 that do not fully meet WCAG tagging requirements.
-
Complex interactive diagrams that may not expose all semantics to assistive technologies.
We are actively remediating these issues in order of priority and welcome your feedback to help us address outstanding gaps.
5. Feedback and Contact
We value your input. If you experience any difficulty accessing our content or have suggestions:
Email: accessibility@explorebuddy.co.uk Phone: +447388039708 (voice)
We aim to respond to all accessibility enquiries within five working days. If you remain dissatisfied, you may lodge a complaint with the Equality Advisory and Support Service (EASS) or pursue remedies under the Equality Act 2010.
6. Ongoing Commitment
We review this Accessibility Statement annually and update it as we enhance our platforms. Accessibility considerations are embedded into our design and development lifecycle to ensure future content meets recognised standards.
